Will not pay for damages to my car
I was involved in a small accident on August 14, 2023. I slid off the road on a sharp corner in West Virginia. The tires were spinning so I couldn't get out, so I dialed 911. The police arrived and called for a tow truck. The tow truck arrived, hooked up my car and proceeded to winch it up on their flatbed truck. At the top, the hook released, and my car was launched into a grove of trees. The driver then hooked it up again and, this time, was successful. The damage was witnessed by at least one of the officers, who took pictures. My body shop is in contact with my insurance company and the tow truck company, Big K Towing. Today, I was contacted by my body shop and they told me the tow truck company is refusing to pay. I need to sue the company for more than $6,000, the remaining damage to my car. I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau, the Attorney General of WV, and I've placed reviews on as many sites as I could find. I'm in the process of getting an attorney. I guess I'll see them in court.
