rude and ignorant
here is how Lew/s treats people asking about an item for sale.
this was a conversation on facebook about a snow blower he was selling

customer
Hi.
How is the scraper and bucket.. Did. It wear down the bucket itself?
Did you do a compression test at all?

Lew Tripaldi Jr
feel free to come and take a look for your self but I believe it is good. If you know how to test for compression and know what the compression spec is I would be happy to check it for you LOL.

customer
Ohh.. Sorry, I assumed you were a small engine shop based on the pictures
Ok. So it appears to be about 10 years old..
You are a bit of a drive for me.
I'd come take a look if you would consider selling it for 150.00

I do own and run a small engine repair shop. Also I'm the authorized warranty and dealer for this manufacture. So not sure what your comment is supposed to mean.

customer
Because you asked me if I knew how to check for compression..
Ok. So it appears to be about 10 years old..

I asked you because you asked me and I thought maybe you know something that I don't know. Guess not seems as you may have just asked a question that has no real answer or your just not a small engine mechanic. lol no problem thou.

customer
Yes.. I'm a mechanic..
Just misunderstood what you asked..

just because you own a hammer and screw driver does not make you a mechanic. or at least not a small engine mechanic. I answer everyone that askes about compression the same way. now for a bit of education almost all small engines with a manual pull starter will have a decompression style camshaft. that being that they will all have low compression during start up but once running they will achieve full compression. Their for their is no compression spec because their is no normal way to check for compression. Normally when someone askes that question they are only trying to make the seller think that they are smarter than they really are but as you can now see it actually works the other way.

Also I will not take less than 250 in fact if I sell a couple more of the projects here I will be looking to repair this and keep it or sell it for much more than 250.

I don't know why you are getting emotional..
I'm an ase master certified technician..
I fixed cars for a living and been fixing small engines for over 20 years..
The way you worded it made it seem like you were asking me to explain how a compression test is done.
I'm well aware of the compression release and not all engines have them, especially ovh engines..
Furthermore, you can still do a compression test with the electric start..
So don't start with your insults.. I own much more than a hammer and screw driver.. And anyone who doesn't know shit about motors certainly wouldn't be asking for a compression test.. How am I going to know what's right or wrong of I don't understand how a compression test works?
You own a business, so I'd advise you not to insult people..

WOW you are completely clueless but I do understand you cant afford this so shop within your budget and don't get upset at those that have what you cant afford. Life is too short to live with that much anger. Try a new job for your new years resolution you may be happier and live longer and maybe make more money.
Lew Tripaldi Jr removed you from the conversation.
