Terrible Experience
I had a truly horrendous experience with Donald Dupuy Bodyshop in Metairie. After getting my vehicle door repaired and repainted by them, the paint started to wear off within a year. Concerned about the quality of their work, I decided to take my vehicle to my dealership's service center for an inspection. To my dismay, they reported that the paint was peeling due to poor adhesion and shoddy prep work done by Donald Dupuy Bodyshop.

In hopes of rectifying the situation, I returned to Donald Dupuy Bodyshop and spoke to Matt, who confirmed that there was indeed a paint failure. He asked me to leave the vehicle at the shop so they could repair it. However, a few hours later, the owner, Donald Dupuy, contacted me and shockingly claimed that the issue was not due to their work but because of a dent on my vehicle. I was taken aback since I had no recollection of having a dent on my door. Eager to understand the situation, I personally inspected the door, and to my surprise, there was no dent whatsoever. I politely asked Mr. Dupuy to point out the dent he claimed to exist, but he couldn't. In fact, he dismissively walked away, refusing to address the issue, stating that he "wasn't dealing with this." It became apparent that they were attempting to deceive me, possibly assuming they could take advantage of me being a woman.

Mistakes happen, and I understand that. However, what sets apart a good business owner from a bad one is their willingness to take responsibility for their mistakes and stand behind their work. Unfortunately, Donald Dupuy Bodyshop failed miserably in this regard. Not only did they deny the obvious paint failure, but they also displayed a complete lack of professionalism and integrity when confronted with their error.

I strongly advise everyone to exercise caution when considering doing business with Donald Dupuy Bodyshop. Their workmanship is subpar, and their refusal to take responsibility for their mistakes and honor their warranty is truly disheartening. There are surely better options available in Metairie for auto repairs, so save yourself the frustration and disappointment by avoiding Donald Dupuy Bodyshop at all costs.
